Let me introduce myself!

My name is Rylee Moore (any pronouns) and I started Embodied Healing Arts because I saw a need in the Missoula community for a kind of healing and support that is rare here.

Lots of people have talk therapy now (great! I’m actually in school, working to become a therapist too!), and lots of people get bodywork (I am a licensed massage therapist, and that’s my scope for our work together)… and a lot of people need something that more fully addresses the root of their pain, stress, patterns, and emotional wounds. So I knew I had to find a training that would allow me to more fully support my clients. I didn’t want to just support pain relief for a week, and then the next time I see my client, they are in the same amount of pain again…. I want to support my clients to actually heal the source of pain.

So, I spent the last 3 years becoming a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner™. This is a trauma healing and nervous system regulation modality. I work directly with your nervous system, we bring in some dialogue, and are constantly re-orienting to the body. I am a massage therapist, so my scope is that of the body! We aren’t here to analyze, or go into meaning-making (that’s for therapy!). I bring in touch, movement, and sound when it feels right. I have supported so many clients through this modality to completely change their experience of pain, shift deep patterns of hurt and guarding, and find more ease, more vitality in their life!

I put on regular workshops on various topics from nervous system knowledge, dance, embodiment, art making, and boundary setting! You can find more of what I do in the community up above! I wanted to make this work more accessible and specific in focus for group exploration. I love teaching and facilitating, and I often collaborate with other practitioners to create a beautiful blend of our skills to offer you a truly unique experience.

I was a dancer all my life, and although dance is not a huge part of my life at the moment, my knowledge of the body, of artistry weaves into every session. When I’m not doing this work I am in school (full time), and when I’m not in school, I am probably hanging with my dog Ferdie or my partner. I love to read fantasy books, write, paint, draw, dance (tango right now!), cook and spend time with people I love.
